As part of the SH20 extension the existing church together with the neighbouring school were relocated on the same site.

The existing church was demolished and a new larger church was constructed further down the site. The land on which the new church sits was extensively filled using the spoil from the SH20 excavations.

The church built in contemporary materials features an impressive zinc clad dome.
